Youth Efforts Against Hunger is a nonprofit with the mission of inspiring youth civic engagement through agriculture education to alleviate hunger.

  • Washington State is also the 33rd most food insecure state when it comes to children but the percentage of food insecurity goes up from 13.2% of the overall population to 17.1% of the population under 18.
  • Clark County is the 34th most food insecure county in the 39 counties in Washington State with 12.4% of the overall population and 17.1% of the population under the age of 18 considered food insecure.
  • 12.4% of the population of Clark County equals 63,550, 17.1% of the population under 18 is the equivalent of 20,200 children.
